Harmony

“Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed.”

-Mohandas Gandhi

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (1869 – 1948) was the pre-eminent political and ideological leader of India during the Indian independence movement. A pioneer of satyagraha, or resistance to tyranny through mass civil disobedience—a philosophy firmly founded upon ahimsa, or total nonviolence.

Are your thoughts and words and deeds in harmony?  And are your thoughts and words and deeds in harmony with those you work or play with? Much of the time we think in terms of just getting things done and often overlook any disconnect between what is said and done.  But a team, whether it’s at work or on a playing field, has to work in harmony with each other and in harmony with their ideals and in harmony with their goals and aspirations and in harmony with the rules of the road or game.  If you aim at achieving this kind of harmony then your efforts will most likely be better than if you didn’t.  If you want to have effective team work and a great amount of team spirit, then you have to work at achieving this kind of harmony.  So talk and work openly with your teammates today and aim to achieve harmony of thought and word and deed.  Then see how well your team can really do.
